The Witches of Eileanan series follows the adventures of a pair of twins, Isabeau and Iseult, as they battle to restore magic to its proper place in the land called Eileanan, on the way discovering their own true destinies. The Witches of Eileanan is based on the premise that a group of Scottish witches fled the persecution of witches in the 16th century to discover a new land where they could worship their pagan, pantheistic religion and practise their magic in freedom. It draws strongly on Scottish folklore and history, though is not in any way meant to be set in Scotland. Learn more about Eileanan here. You also read more information on the foreign editions of the Witches of Eileanan series.
Follow the links below to learn more about each book in Rhiannon's Ride and The Witches of Eileanan series and read an extract from the book. The US editions have different covers and Dragonclaw was released as The Witches of Eileanan in the US. There are German editions available and coming are Russian editions.
Please read the note about the timing of Books 4 and 5 - The Forbidden Land and The Skull of the World occur at the same time on Eileanan as they were originally one book which was split into two for size reasons. Book 6, The Fathomless Caves, occurs after both books 4 and 5 and will conclude the series.
